Following the Opening Day Ceremony, the inaugural ‘First Foursome’ of Lea Anne Brown (13-time Women’s City Amateur Champion, Bert Atkinson (7-Time Men’s City Amateur Champion), Chris Pinckney (2-time Men’s City Amateur Champion), and Ronnie Richter Sr. (City Amateur Champion) walk to the first fairway along with their caddies.

Celebrating Charleston as the Birthplace of Golf in North America - Sundays in September (13, 20, 27), residents and visitors were invited to come take a stroll on the newly renovated Muni, to see the changes and enjoy one of the largest greenspaces in Charleston before the course opened for play.
